Types and functions of exhaust pipes

 

There are many kinds of exhaust pipes, common M drum, S drum, internal pressure drum, Y drum, buckle edge inside S drum, street drum, HKS drum and so on. Each type of exhaust pipe has its advantages and disadvantages:

 

M drum:suitable for low speed torque output, but will affect the power output at high speed.

 

S drum:suitable for power output at high speed, but poor performance at low speed.

 

Internal back pressure drum:Generate back pressure through bulkhead, silencer or tube volume change, suitable for low speed torque output, but limited power at high speed.

 

Straight through pipe:smooth exhaust, suitable for high speed power output, but large noise, low speed performance is not good.
